Facilities
Our laboratories are provided with high quality Semi – Automatic machineries for the purpose of doing the experiments as well as for research purpose.
Manufacturing technology lab is equipped with imported lathes (Industrial type with all attachments), shaping and slotting machines. An injection moulding machines is also added to the Manufacturing technology lab.
In Fluid Mechanics & Machinery Laboratory, state of art test kits was provided. Turbines are provided with highly precision attachments for adjusting all the testing parameters.
MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY LAB
In this laboratory the student are exposed to hands on experience on working of general purpose machine tools and on other various manufacturing processes.The laboratory is equipped with high quality semi automatic imported lathes with all necessary accessories, Capstan and Turret Lathe, Shapers, Planners, Slotters, Horizontal and Vertical Milling Machines, Surface and Cylindrical grinding machines, Gear hobbing & Radial drilling machines, manual operated Injection Moulding Machines for the purpose of training and research. The machines are of superior quality matching the industrial standards and the work materials are processed with high tolerance and surface finish.
FLUID MECHANICS & MACHINERY LAB
In this laboratory the student is given thorough knowledge about mechanics of fluids through properties of the fluids. The dynamics of fluids is also studied here by the control volume approach which gives an integrated understanding of the transport of mass, momentum and energy. The performances of different fluid machineries under different operating conditions are also studied here.
The Infrastructure of this lab includes Orifice meter test rig, Venturi meter test rig, Rota meter test rig, Friction factor apparatus, Centrifugal pump test rig, Submersible pump test rig, Reciprocating pump test rig, Gear pump test rig, Pelton wheel turbine, Francis turbine and Kaplan turbine.
COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN & DRAFTING LAB
In the CAD Lab the students understand and interpret drawings of machine components so as to prepare assembly drawings both in 2D & 3D using standard CAD packages along with Indian Standards.
