Entrepreneurial Development Cell ( EDC)
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell(EDC) was established and sponsored by Department of Science and Technology(DST), Government of India, New Delhi. It aims to promote and implement programmes for building curriculum and training personal and assisting trainers by exploring their entrepreneurial aptitude and apply their conceptual knowledge in developing business plans in entrepreneurial activities.
Astronomy
A special one-day program on modern astronomy and astrophysics is being conducted regularly for students who are genuinely interested to know more about the universe of which we are all a part. The program is conducted by prof.K.Smiles Mascarenhas (Dean,Academic Affairs) along with radio astronomers from R.A.C,ooty.
Communication
The communication lab has a great role in making successful language teaching method in very novel way. The innovativeness of the programmes , with specially designed courses available, make the production of requisite pedagogical materials imperative, particularly in the case of teaching English language.
The Institute also concentrates on the Self-Development of the students to bring them up as virtuous and modest professionals. In fact, as a part of this self-development activity the students are given Yoga Training to tame their emotional imbalance and to rescue themselves from Stress and Depression when they get settled as professionals.
